NOB_Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), City Range-2, caught two officials of Moinabad Municipality while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 75,000.

According to Press Note No. 147 issued on 30.09.2026, the Accused Officer-1 Smt. Gundu Vani, Town Planning Officer, Moinabad Municipality, demanded bribe through Accused Officer-2 Yelamoni Sudarshan, Ex-Panchayat Secretary of Moinabad GP presently working on deputation as Senior Assistant in Moinabad Municipality.

The bribe was demanded from the complainant for doing an official favour – for not taking any coercive action against the complainant’s construction by treating it as illegal.

ACB officials laid a trap and caught them on 30-09-2026. The bribe amount of Rs 75,000 was recovered from the possession of AO-2 at his instance.

Officials said AO-1 & AO-2 performed their duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.

Both officers are being produced before the Hon’ble I Addl. Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Nampally for judicial remand. The case is under investigation. The details of complainant are withheld for security reasons.
