NOB_Hyderabad: Twelve teams from the TG Safe Food Wing and enforcement authorities conducted surprise inspections at several sweet shops under the Hyderabad CURE jurisdiction.

According to the official press note, officials found multiple violations including expired FSSAI licences, expired sweets kept for sale, reuse of expired sweets in fresh preparations, unhygienic manufacturing conditions, and products with insects and fungal growth.

Authorities said some shops would be closed, notices would be issued where applicable, and expired sweets were discarded on the spot. A detailed update will follow after all inspections are completed.
