NOB –Hyderabad news: Tollywood senior actor Sarath Babu (71) passed away. According to the sources of the hospital, he breathed his last on 22.05.2023 while undergoing treatment in Hyderabad, who was suffering from illness for some time. The doctors revealed that he died due to sepsis in his whole body and his kidneys, lungs, liver and other organs were damaged. With the news of his death, there was a sadness in the film industry. Film and political celebrities condoled the death of Sarathbabu on social media. Deepest condolences to Sarath Babu’s family. Family members are making arrangements to move Sarath Babu’s body to Chennai.

Sarathbabu was the son of Vijayashankara Dixitulu Sushiladevi from Amdalavalasa in Srikakulam district. He dreamed of becoming an IPS since his childhood and unexpectedly came to the field of drama. Sarath Babu, who acted in many plays during his college days, took his first step as a hero with the release of ‘Ramarajyam’ in 1973. He played the role of a villain for the second film. He acted in more than 250 films as a villain and a supporting actor instead of a hero. ‘Another History’, ‘Guppedu Manasu’, ‘Sringara Rama’, ‘This Is Not A Story’, ’47 Days’, ‘Butterfly’, ‘Sitara’, ‘Anveshana’, ‘Swathimuthyam’, ‘Sagarasangam’, ‘Samsaram  Oka ‘Chadarangam’, ‘Criminal’, ‘Annaiya’ brought him good recognition as an actor. Sarathbabu excelled not only in movies but also in serials. The serial ‘Antarangalu’ aired on ETV brought him closer to the television audience. When it comes to personal life, Sarathbabu is known to have married actress Ramaprabha. However, due to personal reasons, both of them separated shortly after marriage.
