NOB-New Delh news: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who is an accused in the Delhi Excise Policy case, faced disappointment in the Supreme Court.The petition filed by Kavitha seeking to quash the criminal proceedings against her and grant her bail was rejected. The Supreme Court bench refused to grant her bail.In this regard, the bench commented that whoever the petitioner is, they will follow a uniform procedure. It has said that it will not accept a direct approach to the Supreme Court for bail.It is suggested to go to the trial court for bail. It has been clarified that anyone should first go to the lower court for bail. The bench has attached the points raised by Kavitha to the case of Vijay Madan Lal, regarding the constitutional violation of his arrest, calling it illegal.It has been informed that the investigation will be conducted only on the issues related to constitutional violations. The Supreme Court said that it will be heard along with another petition filed on the same matter. The bench issues notices to ED on issues in petition. It is now clear that the case will not go into merits. Eminent senior lawyer and politician Kapil Sibal argued on behalf of Kavitha in the Supreme Court.
