NOB- Suryapet news: District SP Rahul Hegde IPS said that the district will complete the election in a peaceful environment and according to the election rules, security police have been arranged in the district, 1100 Tamil Nadu State Home Guards, Arunachal Pradesh Police, 6 companies of Central Armed Forces personnel in all around 3500 to assist the district police personnel. He said that the police are performing election duties in the district.

The campaign period given to the political parties till 5 pm on the 11th May 2024 in connection with the parliamentary elections has ended. No one should advertise in social media such as WhatsApp, Facebook etc., online or in the form of SMS. Section 144 is in force, more than 5 people, don’t gather in groups, don’t hold assemblies, meetings and rallies, the SP has warned. He warned that legal action will be taken if the voters are tempted, everyone should follow the election rules. If you provoke, fight, you will have to face cases. Once the election cases are started, every time the election comes, one has to face problems in life. The SP said that if students and youth are involved in the cases, there will be problems in terms of jobs and studying abroad. Campaign time is over Non-voters, non-locals should leave the constituencies, villages and wards. 48 hour restrictions are in effect. He reminded that there is a proper surveillance of the police. Strict security has been arranged at the polling centers, restrictions are being implemented within 100 meters, everyone should follow the police instructions and election rules and cooperate with the police, the SP said.

There are 190 problematic polling stations, flag march programs, cordon and search, police artifice programs in all the villages where we have created awareness on election rules and conducting elections in a peaceful atmosphere. While there are 100 route mobiles for all the elections in the four constituency segments in the district, we have trained all the staff on the issues to be followed on the route. Constituency police nodal officers are examining the arrangements in the presence of election observers. He said that the election pattern will be checked from the district police office with the cc cameras installed by the command and control center. We have deposited 153 licensed weapons, trouble mongers, rowdy sheeters, 1991 people who are involved in election cases, and 3956 people who were bound over during the last assembly elections will continue.

He said that 8 inter-district border check posts and 7 inter-state border check posts have been set up with the coordination of officers of all departments and armed checks have been carried out. As part of these inspections, till now, 2 crore 75 lakhs in cash, 18 lakhs worth of liquor, 35 lakhs worth of ganja, 1 crores 18 lakhs worth of jewellery, 1 crores 4 lakhs worth of other valuable electronics, clothes, He said that other items have been seized. Also, liquor worth 1 crore 74 lakh was seized under the Excise Department. The SP said that so far a total of 6 crore 81 lakh have been seized across the district.
