Blindly trusting Google Maps has once again proven that it is a threat to lives. A family in Bareilly, UP was traveling in a car based on Google Maps. Due to heavy fog, they continued their journey using GPS as standard. As the GPS showed a bridge under construction, they followed it and the car fell into the river. The car was completely destroyed in the accident and the three people traveling in the car died on the spot. After receiving information about this, the police registered a case and investigated the incident. A police officer said that the lives were lost due to Google Maps.
