
NOB-Suryapet news: As part of his district visit, Multi Zone-II IG, Satyanarayana IPS, came to Suryapet district on 11.12.2024. First, he inspected the Kodad Rural Circle Inspector’s office. Later, a meeting was held with the Suryapet Sub-Divisional Police personnel at the Suryapet District Police Office along with District In-charge SP Sarath Chandra Pawar IPS, Additional SP Nageswara Rao, DSPs Ravi and Sridhar Reddy. The IG ordered strict action against those involved in illegal businesses with PDS rice, sand, gutka, and ganja. He said that the state government is very determined against such illegal businesses and that the responsibility of completely eradicating them lies with the police department, and that the staff should work as a team in coordination. Later, a media conference was held. He said that the police department is working hard to prevent illegal businesses in the district. He said that check posts are being set up along the border and continuous checks are being carried out. He said that illegal trading of government distributed rice, illegal sand trafficking, gutka trade, use of marijuana transportation, gambling are harmful to the society and we are working to prevent them. He said that we have registered the PD Act against Narasimha Rao and Jagadish, who have been habitually involved in illegal PDS rice trafficking. He said that 6 people suspected of illegal rice smuggling have been brought and are being investigated under the leadership of the SP. He said that cases have been registered against sand trafficking and bindover is being done. He said that departmental action will be taken against the staff if they cooperate in illegal trafficking. He said that we are identifying those who transport, use and sell marijuana, registering cases and providing counseling. He said that on the occasion of the government giving bonus to the poor rice, we are working in coordination with other staff regarding rice and preventing the entry of grain from other states into our state. The meeting was attended by Nalgonda District SP In-charge Suryapet SP Sarath Chandra Pawar IPS, Additional SP Nageswara Rao, DSPs Ravi Sridhar Reddy, CIs, SIs. Satyanarayana IPS, In-charge SP Sarath Chandra Power IPS, Additional SP Nageswara Rao from the District Police Office attended the video conference organized by the Office of the Chief Secretary to the Government regarding the Group-2 examination to be held on the 15th and 16th of December 2024. The IG said that there are 30 examination centers in Suryapet town and 19 examination centers in Kodad town in the district, and police security is being arranged at all the examination centers.
