NOB- Delhi news: The daughter of a senior police officer, popular actress Ranya has been sent to jail. The police arrested her on charges of gold smuggling. Later, she was produced in court and ordered to be sent to 14-day judicial custody. With this, the police sent her to jail. The judge ordered to send Ranya Rao to judicial custody till March 18th 2025. The judge of the Special Economic Offences Court issued these orders. Ranya came to Bengaluru with gold bars. However, the Delhi DRI team received information about Ranya’s smuggling in advance. DRI officials detained the actress at the airport. DRI seizes 14.8 kg gold from Kannada actress Ranya Rao at Bengaluru airport, arriving from Dubai. Authorities arrest her after finding she’s visited Dubai 4 times in the past 15 days.
