NOB- Sullurpet news: The PSLV-C61 launch vehicle will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAAR) in Sullurpet, Tirupati district at 6.59 am on the 18.05.2025. Through this launch, which will be conducted from the first launch pad in SHAAR, the earth observation satellite ‘Risat-1B’, which is designed with cutting-edge technology, will be launched into a designated orbit. Scientists are actively completing the preparations for this. The main feature of this Risat-1B satellite is its C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). With the help of this radar, it can take high-resolution images of the earth’s surface, regardless of day or night, in any weather conditions. In the current tense situation between India and Pakistan, the information provided by this satellite will be very useful for the Indian military forces. Risat-1B will play a key role in providing comprehensive information required for national security, especially military needs. In addition to detecting terrorist camps and their movements, it can also closely monitor the activities of enemy forces in border areas and provide high-resolution photographs.
