
NOB- Nalgonda news: In a major breakthrough, Nalgonda district police arrested two brothers involved in a series of chain snatching incidents targeting women walking alone. The arrests led to the recovery of 8 gold chains weighing 19.5 tolas (worth Rs.19 lakhs), 2 mobile phones, and 4 motorcycles used in the crimes. The investigation was led under the guidance of District SP Sharath Chandra Pawar, IPS, with the supervision of DSP K. Sivarama Reddy, and the efforts of Chandur CI K. Adi Reddy, SI N. Venkanna, and their team.
Accused Details:
* A-1: Ravirala Pavan (28), Lift Technician from Neelayigudem, Tripuraram Mandal, currently residing in Dantalapalli, Mahabubabad district.
* A-2: Ravirala Raju (26), Driver from the same village, currently residing near Sangi Temple, Hyderabad.
The Incident (Chandur Case – Cr.No. 107/2025): On July 4, 2025, around 2 PM, a woman named Bucchamma from Gollagudem village was walking home when the accused snatched a 3-tola gold chain from her neck and fled. A case was registered at Chandur Police Station, and an investigation began immediately.
Criminal History:The duo were found to be involved in several similar cases across villages under Wadapally, Penpahad, Vemulapally, Nakrekal, and Chandur police limits.
