1. Drinking water while standing: Our elders say that you should not drink water while standing. According to Ayurveda, when you drink water while standing, the body does not get the nutrients from the water as it goes into the stomach. Drinking water while standing is bad for health and can cause various health problems. When we drink water while standing, it does not reach the organs through our system.
2. Taking big sips and gulping water too quickly: Gulping water quickly does not get its benefits. The waste that needs to be eliminated accumulates in the kidneys and bladder.Drinking water slowly and taking small sips helps strengthen the digestive system and improve metabolism.
3. Drinking water before or after meals: When you drink water before a meal, you feel full and cannot eat properly. If you do not eat properly, you will not get enough nutrition. And, if you drink water immediately after a meal, it can disrupt digestion. It can also cause constipation and nausea.
4. Drinking too much water: There are a few people who drink too much water. There are no health benefits to drinking excess water. Drinking excess water can cause hyponatremia, also known as water intoxication. In this condition, the sodium levels in the body become too low, which can lead to brain damage, coma, and seizures.
5. Not drinking water before and after a workout: Many people do not drink water before and after a workout. This can cause headaches. Drink at least 250 ml of water half an hour before working out. Keep sipping water between exercises.
