NOB- Bharat news: The Garib Rath Express train (Train No. 12204) going from Amritsar to Saharsa was half a kilometer away from Ambala, when the staff and passengers noticed thick smoke coming from a bogie. The loco pilot, who was alert, immediately stopped the train. The passengers got down in panic and ran away. Immediately after receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Sirhind GRP SHO Ratan Lal said that there was no loss of life as the passengers were deboarded from the train in time. However, he explained that three coaches were burnt in the fire in the accident. Railway officials said that the reasons for the accident are not yet to be known and that they are investigating the incident. The incident caused a brief disruption in the movement of trains on the route. The authorities made alternative arrangements and sent the passengers to their destinations.
