
NOB- Konraopet news: Government Whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas said that the public government stands by farmers. Lakshmi Narasimha Cotton Industries in Nampally, Lakshmi Industries in Sankepalli, and Sri Kaveri Cotton Industries CCI purchase centers were inaugurated on 03.11.2025 in the premises of the Konaraopet Agricultural Market Committee by Government Whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas and In-charge Collector Garima Agrawal. On this occasion, Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas spoke and clarified that CCI is continuing to purchase locally after talking to Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao to ensure that cotton farmers in the district do not face any difficulties and get support prices. He said that purchase centers have been set up in five ginning mills under the CCI in the district, two in Vemulawada, one in Konaraopet mandal and two in Illantakunta mandal. He called on farmers to sell cotton at their nearest CCI purchase centers and get support. He revealed that the support price is Rs. 7689 to 8110 per quintal depending on the quality of cotton. He said that the public government will stand by the farmers and will implement many schemes for their welfare. He said that the state government has spent more than Rs. 1 lakh crore on farmer welfare development programs across the state in the past 20 months. He said that more than Rs. 20 thousand crore loans has been waived off to farmers. He explained that farmers who grow small paddy will be given an additional Rs. 500 per quintal. He clarified that grain purchase centers have already been set up in the respective mandals of the district and grain will be purchased at the support price. He advised farmers to make purchases without causing any problems. He said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other ministers are sanctioning funds to complete the irrigation projects in this area. He said that the public government has released funds of more than Rs. 300 crore for the completion of canals and other works within the scope of the Yellampally project. He said that the CM laid the foundation stone for the development of Rajanna Temple and the work is progressing rapidly. On this occasion, In-charge Collector Garima Agrawal spoke and said that cotton was cultivated in 46 thousand acres this year and that the agriculture department officials have estimated that the district will produce more than 5 lakh quintals of cotton. She advised farmers to book slots in *Cotton Kisan*. She ordered that the officials of CCI, Marketing and other departments should coordinate to provide facilities to the farmers. AMC chairmen Rondi Raju, Kachkayala Yellaiah, Vemulawada RDO Radhabhai, District Agriculture Officer Afzal Begum, District Marketing Officer Prakash, CCI CPO Raghuram, Tehsildars Vijay Prakash Rao, Varalakshmi, MPDO officials and others participated in the program.
