NOB-Hyderabad news: Every year, on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, a grand procession (Shobhayatra) of Lord Rama is organized in Hyderabad. Preparations to conduct the procession 2026 year have already commenced. Hyderabad Police Commissioner (CP) Sajjanar held a meeting with the organizers of the festival committee. He instructed the organizers to strictly adhere to certain regulations during the Sri Rama procession within the city.Speaking on the occasion, CP Sajjanar stated, “We held a coordination meeting with the Sri Rama Navami Festival Committee. For the past 16 years, this procession has been conducted efficiently and successfully. This year 2026, too, we will make meticulous arrangements. With the cooperation of everyone involved, we are putting measures in place to ensure the procession proceeds peacefully. The Shobhayatra Committee has presented certain requests to us, and we will examine them.””Furthermore, on behalf of the government and the Police Department, we will complete all necessary arrangements. Approximately 3,000 police personnel will be deployed for security duties during the procession. We will deploy Crime Teams and SHE Teams to prevent incidents such as chain snatching and other offenses. We will monitor the progress of the procession using drones. We will also install CCTV cameras along the procession route to maintain continuous surveillance. On 2025 year, the procession was delayed due to a vehicle breakdown this time, we will take measures to ensure that no such issues arise and that the procession concludes on schedule,” CP Sajjanar clarified.
