NOB- Tirupati news: District SP L. Subbaraidu IPS held a press conference on 29.07.2024 and revealed the details of the kidnapping case. On this occasion the District SP said that, Jangam Bhaskar of Cheruvumundarapalli village, Chinnagottigallu mandal, Tirupati district was kidnapped on 24-07-2024 at around 08:45am while he was traveling in his auto near a petrol station on the Bhakarapet Ghat road. Fearing that he would start a fight, they gave him a drug injection, kidnapped him and drove him around in a car. They called victim’s son Reddy Kiran with the phone of victim and first demanded 5 crore rupees. As they could not get that amount, they threatened  for one and a half crore rupees or else they will kill Jangam Bhaskar. Victim’s son Reddy Kiran has complained about the matter to Bhakarapet police. According to the orders of the district SP, under the supervision of Additional SP Kulasekhar, under the supervision of Chandragiri DSP Narasingappa, special teams were formed by SP, Bhakarapet, Tiruchanur and Cyber ​​Cell CIs and conducted search operations.

On 29-07-2024 at 07:00 am the kidnappers were spotted at Urja Hotel on Bhakarapet Ghat Road and while the kidnappers were trying to escape in a car, the police vehicle was also rammed. However, the police surrounded and caught the four kidnappers, while two others, Irfan and Anji, ran away. The arrested accused have previous cases of theft and red sandalwood stealing in Bangalore, Rompicherla, Bhakarapet and Rayachoti. A-1, with the help of his friends A-2, A-3, took the help of Anji, a native of victim, for the movements of victim, Jangam Bhaskar, to kidnap him. A-4 took the help of Dr. Sheikh Zahid Basha to sedate the victim. A1 accused had kidnapped his father earlier.
