NOB- Jammu Kashmir news: A man who helped and sheltered terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district lost his life by jumping into a river while trying to escape from security forces. A video related to this has come to light after allegations were made that the security forces were responsible for this. The video clearly recorded that the man jumped into the river on his own in an attempt to escape. This makes it clear that the army was not the reason for his death. In the video taken from a high place, Imtiaz Ahmed Magre (23) is seen jumping into a river filled with rocks after looking around once. The army is continuing its intensive search for terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir following the Pahalgam terror attack. It is in this context that information about the person who gave them shelter came to light. It is reported that Magre was arrested by the police two days ago. During interrogation, he reportedly admitted that he had provided food and other necessities to the terrorists hiding in the Tangmarg forest of Kulgam district. He then agreed to show the security forces the place where the terrorists were hiding. In this context, on 04.05.2025 morning, when the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Army were jointly going to the area, Magre, who was acting as a guide, suddenly jumped into the Veshav river and tried to escape and lost his life.
