On 10.07.2025, a sub-inspector of the police department was caught taking bribe. Following a complaint filed by his in-laws due to family disputes, a man came to the Gachibowli Mahila Police Station. There, Sub-Inspector Venugopal, who was investigating their case, made a deal with the victim that he would withdraw the complaint filed by his in-laws against him and ensure that there was no case against him. The victim agreed to pay the bribe. He was about to go to the ACB officers on the same matter. On 10.07.2025, Sub-Inspector Venugopal of the Gachibowli Mahila Police Station took bribe. ACB officials caught him red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000. It is reported that Venugopal was recently promoted to the rank of SS.
