
NOB-Quthbullapur news: On 02.03.2026, the (AO) G. Ganesh, Village Revenue Officer (VRO), Quthbullapur Tahsil office, Medhchal-Malkajgiri District was caught red handed by the ACB, City Range-1 unit, when he demanded an amount of Rs. 20,000/-and accepted the part payment of bribe amount of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant for doing an official favour i.e. “for processing and issuing family member certificate to the complainant. Earlier, the AO had accepted the bribe amount of Rs. 5,000/- in cash as initial payment. The tainted bribe amount of Rs. 15,000/- was recovered from the possession of the AO at his instance. Thus, the AO performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage. Therefore, the AO is being arrested and produced before the Addl. Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Nampally for judicial remand. The case is under investigation. The details of complainant are withheld for security reasons.
