NOB- Mahabubabad news: Many RTA offices in the joint Warangal district have become a stumbling block for irregularities. There is a situation where no work can be done without an agent, but there are staff and officers who can do anything easily. Due to this, the anti-corruption department received a large number of complaints. In this background, ACB officials conducted inspections in Mahbubabad RTA office on 28.05.2024 as per the orders of ACB DG CV Anand. ACB Warangal Range DSP P. Sambaiah led the staff when they entered the office as ordinary people in the afternoon and were shocked to see the situation there. Some private persons and agents, who were supposed to stay outside the office, entered the office and were surprised to see that the activities were arranged. To this extent, six agents with various documents, certificates, license applications and money in the office and the DTO driver who was holding unaccounted money in the office were arrested. However, it was learned that there was a commotion in the office due to the ACB searches, and some of the agents fled from there after hearing the movements of the authorities.
After detaining the DTC driver along with six agents, ACB DSP Sambaiah disclosed the basic details to the media. He said that there is information that irregularities are happening in Mahabubabad RTA office for few days. He said that due to this the inspections were carried out suddenly. The six agents inside the office have fitness certificates, learning and driving license applications along with money. He said that Rs.45,100 cash was found with those six agents and Rs.16,500 cash was found with DTO driver Subbarao. DSP Sambaiah stated that cash was also found with them and the staff working at the counters were also being investigated. The DSP explained that the DTO driver had some cart papers along with keys and they are also inquiring about them.

ACB raids took place in the Mahabubabad RTA office in the joint Warangal district. As soon as the information about Mahabubabad was known, some officials were alerted and sent aaway private agents from there. In fact, every work in RTA offices is related to money, but there are many cases where the agents have robbed the motorists of huge sums of money. Due to this, people also came to the opinion that RTA offices should have an agent. Meanwhile, there are demands to abolish the system of agents in the RTA offices and to take strict action against the officials who are committing irregularities.
