NOB_Are you been asked for extra money for gas cylinder delivery? Check this scam

NOB-Bharat news: When you book gas, everything is included in the bill. But when the delivery boy comes home, we often see him asking for extra money on top of the bill. If you don’t pay, he behaves rudely or threatens to delay the cylinder next month.

The Facts:

* Delivery charges in the bill itself: ‘Delivery charges’ are included in the gas bill you pay. These are paid by oil companies to the gas agency.

* Customer rights: It is the responsibility of the gas agency to deliver the cylinder to your door (Door Delivery). HP, Indane, Bharat Gas companies have clearly announced that there is no need to pay a single rupee more than the amount in the bill.

The Solution – Step by Step:

1. Show the bill: When the delivery boy asks for extra money, tell him that you will only pay the amount in the bill. “Why do I have to pay an amount that is not in the bill?” Ask boldly.

2. Call the agency: If he is adamant, immediately call the manager of your gas agency and complain. “Your delivery boy is asking for extra money, what action will you take on this?” Resist.

3. Toll-free number (1906): If the agency does not care, call the All India Gas Helpline 1906 and complain. This is a very powerful weapon. If you complain here, the agency will face a heavy fine.

4. Online payment: If possible, make payment online (Google Pay, PhonePe, Apps) while booking the gas. Then there will be no chance of giving even a rupee to the delivery boy.
