NOB- Nagnur news: Rajagopalapet Sub-Inspector Asif and Probationary Sub-Inspector Soujanya said that a man who attempted to rape a married woman at her mother’s house in a village under Nangunur mandal, along with his friend who assisted him, have been arrested and sent to remand. A ration dealer named Sampangi Mahesh from Palamakula village attempted to rape a woman he knew in a village under the mandal on 28.05.2025 night. For this, he went to the woman’s mother’s village on a two-wheeler with his friend Pallepu Sampath from Palamakula village. Keeping Santosh outside as a guard, Sampangi Mahesh entered the woman’s house at night and was about to rape the woman. Her parents and neighbors woke up when the woman screamed. With this, Mahesh and Sampath fled on a two-wheeler. It was explained that a two-wheeler bearing the number TS 36 A 0206 was seized at the Palamakula bus stand on 29.05.2025, and both the accused were arrested and sent to judicial remand.
