NOB- Telangana news: CM Revanth Reddy said that authorities should provide flood relief measures in a coordinated manner. On 01.09.2025, CM Revanth Reddy, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Seethakka Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao Vivek Venkat Swamy, Adluri Laxman Kumar, State Chief Secretary K. Rama Krishna Rao reviewed the heavy rains and flood relief through video conference with all district collectors from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad. District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha participated in this video conference. Speaking, CM Revanth Reddy instructed the officials to collect details of canals, ponds and ponds damaged due to heavy floods in the Godavari and Krishna basins and prepare an action plan for their repair and restoration. He said that the Panchayat roads, roads and buildings department roads that were repaired due to floods should be prepared for restoration under the Disaster Management Fund. The CM told the officials that the compensation for the loss of human life and loss of livestock due to disasters should also be used under the Disaster Management Fund. In the context of requesting the Central Government for flood assistance, it is being said that the Disaster Management Funds are available with the state, and the CM ordered that the funds used during the past floods should be fully deposited under the Disaster Management Fund and steps should be taken to ensure that more assistance comes to the state from the Center, and that the Disaster Management Funds should be submitted to the UCs by the end of September. The CM instructed the district collectors to register the funds spent on the repair work of roads damaged during the past floods under the Disaster Management Fund and provide details. He said that a preliminary estimate has been received that about two lakh acres of crops have been damaged in the state due to the rains in the month of August 2025, and proposals should be submitted to provide compensation for these. He said that due to the floods in the month of August 2025, 1009 km of R&B roads and national highways worth Rs. 732 crore, 577 KM of Panchayat Raj roads worth Rs. 374 crore, power department equipment worth Rs. 32 crore 73 lakh, and Mission Bhagiratha pipelines worth Rs. 8.95 crore were damaged in the Telangana state. The CM instructed the collectors to be alert and take flood relief measures in line with the instructions of the Meteorological Department that heavy rains will occur from September 2nd to 6th 2025. The CM said that the government will release the necessary funds to the collectors for flood relief measures and ordered that the disaster management funds be utilized to the fullest extent. He said that people in low-lying areas should be shifted to safe areas and necessary medical, food and other arrangements should be made there for them. He said that an action plan should be prepared to ensure that power restoration is carried out on a war footing in the wake of floods, electricity poles, transformers and other equipment should be prepared in the field, the leaves of electricity staff should be cancelled, mobile transformers should be prepared and uninterrupted power supply should be ensured to the people. He said that advance information should be provided to the people about the floods through social media, FM radio and various media. He said that information about fast-flowing streams and water sources should be known and traffic on roads and bridges near them should be stopped, and for this, the cooperation of local police officials should be sought. He said that doctors from primary health centers to district hospitals should be ensured to attend duty on time, and collectors should monitor the functioning of government hospitals. Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao said that heavy rains lashed our state from August 26th  to 28th 2025, especially in Medak, Kamareddy, Sircilla and Nirmal districts, and according to the preliminary estimate, property loss of Rs. 4124 crores occurred. He said that National Highway 44 was damaged in many places. District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, who participated in the video conference, said that a person from Sircilla district was swept away in the floods and his body has not been found so far, and search teams are being formed and searching. 38 houses have been damaged and compensation has been provided. He said that 3 cattle have died, roads and crops in 561 acres have been partially damaged. Sircilla and Vemulawada RDOs Venkateshwarlu, Radabai and district officials participated in this meeting.
