NOB- Uttarkhand news: A major accident took place in Uttarakhand on 28.02.2025 morning. Due to heavy snowfall there for a few days, avalanches broke out, and a snow mountain collapsed in Chamoli district.In this incident, 57 workers were trapped under the snow mountain. Out of which 10 workers were brought out safely. The whereabouts of another 47 workers are missing.The rescue personnel who entered the field are continuing the rescue operations in earnest. This accident took place near a village on the Chamoli-Badrinath National Highway in Chamoli district.While the road construction workers were busy with their work the iceberg suddenly broke. With this, all the workers were trapped under the snow debris.As soon as the information about the accident was received, teams from the State Disaster Response Force-SDRF, National Disaster Response Force-NDRF, Chamoli district administration, Indo-Tibetan Border Force-ITBP, Border Roads Organization-BRO rushed to the scene and many efforts are being made to rescue the workers trapped in the accident.
