
NOB- Banswada news: On February 6th , 2026, the complainant, Kota Siddulu S/o Sangayya, a resident of Pitlam village, went to his newly constructed house next to National Highway-161 in the evening. There, he found Rajesh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, lying in a pool of blood, having been murdered. He immediately filed a complaint at the Pitlam Police Station, and a case was registered and an investigation was launched. Following the orders of District SP M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS, two special teams were formed under the leadership of Banswada SDPO Vithal Reddy. One team, led by Banswada Rural CI Tirupayya, and the other by Pitlam SI Venkat Rao, conducted a continuous investigation using technical evidence and CCTV footage. On February 8th, 2026, the police teams apprehended the accused in Shantinagar Colony of Pitlam village while he was packing his belongings at his rented house and attempting to flee. During questioning, the accused, Srikrishna alias Sri Krishun (45 years old), profession: painter, from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, confessed to murdering Rajesh by beating him with a stick during an argument over labor wages. Going into the details of the case: The deceased, Rajesh, and the accused, Srikrishna, previously worked together in Bengaluru. When Rajesh’s friend, Dileep, informed them that there was painting work available in Pitlam village, both of them went there. However, after Dileep left the village without paying their wages, the accused frequently quarrelled with the deceased. In this sequence of events, the accused took Rajesh to an under-construction house belonging to Kota Siddulu, beat him to death with a stick, and then stole his mobile phone and Rs. 250/- cash before fleeing.
Items recovered from the accused: The stick used in the murder, a Mi company mobile phone (stolen from the deceased), Rs. 100/- cash and blood-stained clothes
The Bansuwada DSP stated that Kamareddy District SP M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS, specially appreciated Tirupayya, the Bansuwada Rural CI, Venkat Rao, the Pitlam SI, and constables K. Raghu, Venkatesh, and Naveen for their active role in apprehending the culprit in a very short time.
