NOB-Nellore news: Primary investigation revealed that the couple committed suicide two days ago after consuming wormwood. The deceased has been identified as Sellumuntha Sravani, Joseph. The girl is from Atapaka village near Kaikaluru, and the boy is from Kovvur near Rajahmundry. The couple, who rented a room in a hotel in Nellore on the 20.04.2025, were informed by the police after they did not open the door for two days and a foul smell was coming from the room. It is suspected that the girl committed suicide because her elders did not approve of their marriage, as the boy is doing engineering and the girl is doing software work. The bodies were found in a decomposed state. Based on information given by the hotel, Santapet CI Dasharatha Ramaiah reached the spot on the instructions of MRO and investigated.
