
NOB- Warangal news: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted searches at the houses of Joint Warangal District Transport Department Deputy Commissioner (DTC) Puppala Srinivas on 07.02.2025 and found that he had assets beyond his income and arrested him.
Simultaneous ACB searches in Warangal, Jagtial and Hyderabad
Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials conducted searches at the houses of Joint Warangal District Transport Department Deputy Commissioner (DTC) Puppala Srinivas on 07.02.2025 and found that he had assets beyond his income and arrested him. ACB officials, who reached Sriniva’s house in Durga Colony on Hanumakonda Palivelpula Road at 9 am on 07.02.2025, seized income documents, and valuable documents related to fixed and movable properties. Searches were conducted simultaneously at Srinivas’s hometown Jagitya and his residence in Hyderabad. He was interrogated for about 10 hours. After examining various documents in the house, he was brought to the District Transport Department office in Chintagattu Camp, Hasanparthi Mandal and information was collected on various issues. Later, he was taken back to his home. The searches continued till midnight on 09.02.2025.
Identification of illegal assets worth Rs. 4.04 crore
According to the details given by the ACB officials, illegal assets worth Rs. 4.04 crore were identified. This includes 15 acres of agricultural land and 16 open plots in five different areas. To this extent, the ACB officials registered a case and arrested Puppala Srinivas. He took charge as the joint Warangal DTC in February 2024 and earlier worked in the Hyderabad Transport Department office.
