
NOB-Papannapet news: Authorities have made all arrangements for the three-day Janapadula Jatara to be held in the presence of Goddess Durga, a famous pilgrimage site in Telangana, from 26.02.2025. Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha will attend as the chief guest and offer silk clothes to the goddess and inaugurate the Jatara on 26.02.2025. Officials have estimated that about 15 lakh devotees from Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh will come to the Jatara. On the first day of the Jatara, on the occasion of Shivaratri, devotees will take a holy dip in the Manjeera river, visit Goddess Durga and take Shiva deeksha. The deeksha will end in the evening. On 27.02.2025, the bullock cart procession will continue magnificently. The cart of the Papannapeta princes will take the first turn, followed by the rest. On the third day of the festival, on 28.02.2025, a chariot festival will be held. Devotees coming from Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Jogipet and Sangareddy should reach Edupayala via Narsapur via Pothansettipally and new bridges. Those coming from Medak should take the same route. Devotees coming from Zaheerabad, Bidar and Narayankhed should reach Edupayala from Nagasanpally Kaman via Bodmatpally. Devotees coming from Hyderabad, Narsapur and Jogipet should park their vehicles at the second bridge and proceed to the fair. Those coming from Narayankhed should park at Chelimela Kunta.
