NOB-Warangal news: Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh said that the elimination of child labor is possible with the coordination of government departments and voluntary organizations.  Speaking as the chief guest at a coordination meeting held on 30.12.2025 as part of Operation Smile – 12, attended by officials, police, and representatives of voluntary organizations from Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Jangaon districts under the Warangal Police Commissionerate, and presided over by Additional DCP N. Ravi, CP Sunpreet Singh said that a special drive should be conducted in industrial areas, shops, and hazardous areas of the district in accordance with the rules for the elimination of child labor, with the cooperation of the Labor Department, District Child Protection Unit, Anti-Human Trafficking Police Unit, and Child Helpline, SCOPE, SHARE, and FMM social service voluntary organizations. It is said that through the previous Operation Smile Muskan program, 339 children were rescued, and 26 FIRs and 160 IRs were registered. It is also said that if children under fourteen years of age are found working, cases should be registered against the concerned employers under the Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, and Juvenile Justice Act. The success of the special drive is possible only if officials from all departments work in coordination, and that daily reports should be collected and submitted under the supervision of the Labour Department and the District Child Protection Unit.
