The victim girl became acquainted with the Rapido driver on May 3rd while shifting luggage from a hostel in Tirupati. The driver saved the phone number used for the payment made via PhonePe during that journey and subsequently began harassing the girl in the name of love. The harassment escalated, and he is now accused of ultimately raping her. Based on the girl’s complaint, the police arrested the accused on 16.12.2025 and remanded him to judicial custody, Alipiri Circle Inspector Ramakishore revealed. The police stated that the victim will receive medical and legal assistance.
