NOB-Hyderabad news: Gudimalkapur Police, acting on credible information, apprehended three persons at Avalon Apartments, Nanal Nagar, Hyderabad, in connection with the exchange of fake counterfeit Indian currency.

Accused details:

A1) Babulal Jatkukna (23 yrs), S/o Rameshwarlal, Occupation: Private work, Resident of Rajasthan State.

A2) Dharmveer (22 yrs), S/o Baburam, Occupation: Student, Resident of Rajasthan State.

A3) Aweys Hersi Salad (30 yrs), S/o Salad, Occupation: Student, Resident of Paramount Colony, Tolichowki, Hyderabad, Native of Kenya.

Other associates involved in the racket are absconding.

During the operation, police found the accused quarrelling over counterfeit currency. On interrogation, it was revealed that A1 and A2 had travelled from Rajasthan to Hyderabad to deliver fake Rs.500 denomination notes to A3, who was acting as the receiver. Police seized 8½ packets containing 10 bundles of fake Rs.500 denomination notes, four mobile phones, and one Dio motorcycle bearing Registration No. TG 07 N 4481. A case has been registered in Crime No. 20/2026 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Gudimalkapur Police Station. Further investigation is in progress.
