NOB-Bengaluru news: A wife committed suicide in Madanayaka Nahalli, Bengaluru, after her husband harassed her for dowry. Abhishek and Spandana (22) got married a year ago. As it was Amavasya on 24.07.2025, she was performing puja and taking blessings by touching her husband’s feet when he said, “This is nothing. Bring the dowry first.” She committed suicide by hanging herself after chatting with her sister on WhatsApp, saying, “My husband and his family are the reason for my death.” The police have registered a case.
