Scientists have reported for the first time the presence of microplastics in the placenta of unborn baby. These microplastics may stop the growth of baby creating a frame work as published in journal Environment International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is also reported that this microplastic has been inhaled or taken in by mother that has reached the placenta. The exact health impact of microplastics on humans is yet to be researched the ingestion of these microplastics is found to be from paints or makeup and individual consideration items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to 0.01 mm size of microplastics the detection in circulation systems is not possible said by Antonio Ragusa, head of obstetrics and gynecology at the San Giovanni Calibitea Fatebenefratelli emergency clinic in Rome. The fetal developments will have some deformities if microplastic contamination is found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also a latest report was given that nanoparticles of plastics were found in pregnant guinea pigs that breathed contaminated air and were found depositing in kidney, liver, lungs, heart and cerebrum of their growing embryos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
