An Indian Air Force MiG-21 aircraft crashed in the Hanuman Ghad district of Rajasthan state on 08.05.2023. The pilot of the Air Force MiG-21 aircraft escaped safely. The pilot jumped down with the help of a parachute and escaped with minor injuries. Four locals were killed in the plane crash and many were injured. Four civilians were killed when the plane crashed into a house on the outskirts of the village. An Army helicopter reached the area where the Air Force plane crashed and started rescue operations. This MiG aircraft took off from Surat Ghad and met with an accident, last January when two Indian Air Force fighter jet Sukhoi 30 Mirage 2000 aircraft crashed in Bharatpur, Rajasthan state, one pilot was dead.
