NOB- Bharat news: Team India has reached the Champions Trophy final. King Kohli (84) scored a crucial innings along with Shreyas Iyer (45) and KL Rahul (42) to help Team India beat Australia by four wickets in the Champions Trophy semi-finals. Axar Patel (27) and Rohit Sharma (28) also scored notable scores. Hardik Pandya (28) played a crucial innings in the end. With this, Team India achieved the target set by Australia in 48.1 overs. They will face each other in the final match to be held in Dubai on 09.03.2025. Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to bat and scored 264 runs. Steve Smith (73) and Alex Carey (61) scored Australia 264 runs in 49.3 overs. India set a target of 265 runs. Opener Travis Head (39) and middle-order batsman Lambushane (29) also excelled. Among the Indian bowlers, Mohammed Shami took three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Jadeja took two wickets each. Axar and Hardik took a wicket each. Chasing a target of 265 runs, India struggled a bit in the beginning. The Aussie fielders dropped two catches given by Rohit. Gill (8) was dismissed for a low score. However, Kohli and Shreyas stopped the fall of wickets after that. They rotated the strike by taking singles and doubles. After Shreyas, Axar and KL Rahul also played a key role in Team India’s victory by forming partnerships with Kohli. Meanwhile, New Zealand and South Africa will face each other in the semi-finals to be held in Lahore on 05.03.2025. The team that wins that match will face Team India in the final on 09.03.2025.
