
NOB- Hyderabad news: Hyderabad City Police’s Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), along with Tolichowki Police, conducted a joint operation based on credible information and apprehended two Nigerian nationals for drug trafficking. 150 grams of MDMA, worth approximately Rs.20 lakh, were seized from the possession of Chidi Ezeh in Tolichowki limits. A case was registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Accused Details:
Chidi Ezeh @ Nageshwaran (42 yrs): Overstayed in India after visa expiry, earlier involved in multiple NDPS cases, fraudulently obtained Indian identity documents, and operated as an interstate drug supplier procuring MDMA and cocaine from a Nigerian national in Delhi.
Obasi James Victor (38 yrs): Entered India on a tourist visa, overstayed after expiry, associated with Chidi in drug trafficking activities.
Seizures: 150 grams MDMA, Mobile phone, Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence, Vehicle RC and Bank cards
Modus Operandi: Chidi supplied MDMA and cocaine to peddlers across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Delhi, coordinating orders via WhatsApp and delivering drugs personally or through Obasi, after procuring them from an absconding Nigerian supplier in Delhi.
Action Taken: Chidi arrested and remanded in the NDPS case. As no criminal cases are pending against Obasi, deportation proceedings have been initiated through FRRO and the Nigerian Embassy, including blacklisting and barring re-entry into India.
