
NOB- Kedarnath news: The doors of the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand were opened on 02.05.2025 morning. The doors of the temple were opened at 7 am amidst chanting of mantras. The state Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present at the event and the temple was beautifully decorated with various flowers.Lakhs of people from all over the country visit Kedarnath, one of the Jyotirlingas, every year. This holy place, which was closed for a long time due to heavy snow, was opened on 02.05.2025.On this occasion, a helicopter showered flowers on the devotees. In the backdrop of the opening of the doors, the temple premises were beautifully decorated with flowers. 13 tons of flowers were used for this. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the celebrations and performed the first puja at Kedarnath.On this occasion, the Chief Minister conveyed his greetings to the devotees. When the doors of the temple were closed 6 months ago, the pooja items decorated with the main idol were removed. The Lord was decorated with fresh flowers.After that, the Akhand Jyoti was offered. With the opening of the doors of the Kedarnath temple, the Char Dham Yatra season has begun. The temples of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath are known as Char Dham Kshetras.While Yamunotri and Gangotri Dhams opened on April 30th 2025 on Akshaya Tritiya, the Badrinath temple will open on the May 4th 2025. Meanwhile, helicopter services have started from Sonprayag for the Kedarnath Yatra. The central and state governments have been alerted in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.Heavy security has been made by the police and security forces along the route of the Char Dham Yatra. Officials are telling devotees to inform the police immediately if they see any suspicious persons.
