
NOB- Bihar news: A joint team of Delhi and Bihar Police has encountered four gangsters of the dangerous Sigma gang from Bihar. The encounter took place in the Rohini area of Delhi in the early hours of 23.10.2025. At 2.20 am on 23.10.2025, a gunfight broke out between the police team and members of the Sigma gang at Dr. Ambedkar Chowk and Pansali Chowk on Bahadur Shah Marg in the national capital. Ranjan Pathak (25), Bimlesh Mahato (25), Manish Pathak (33) and Aman Thakur (21) were killed in the police encounter. Of these, Aman Thakur is a resident of Karawal Nagar in Delhi. The other three gangsters are residents of Sitamarhi in Bihar. Intelligence sources received information that members of the Sigma gang were conspiring to commit criminal acts in Bihar during the assembly elections. With this, a joint team of Bihar and Delhi Police Crime Branch was formed and the trace of the Sigma gang members was identified. As soon as the police surrounded them, the four gangsters opened fire. As a result, the police also opened fire. The firing continued from both sides for 15 minutes. The four gangsters were seriously injured by bullets. As a result, they were admitted to DR. BSA Hospital in Rohini area. However, police authorities revealed that the doctors had already declared the four dead. Several policemen were also injured in the gangster’s firing. They are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. Delhi Crime Branch DCP Sanjeev Yadav revealed that the four gangsters killed in the encounter were wanted in several cases of murder and armed robbery. He said that there are cases against them in Dumra, Charaut, Gahra and Purnahiya areas of Bihar on these charges. He said that the Sigma gang was also involved in the murders of Brahmashri Sena leaders Ganesh Sharma, Madan Sharma and Aditya Singh in Bihar. He said that with the killing of these gangsters, several major criminal plots in Bihar and Delhi-NCR areas have been foiled. Police seized illegal weapons, including a semi-automatic Jigana pistol, and a large quantity of ammunition from the scene. Senior officers from Delhi Police and Bihar Police visited the scene. Forensic and crime scene examination teams were called in and evidence was collected.The police have arrested five gangsters belonging to a gang called Koylanchal Shanti Sena (KSS) in Ranchi, Jharkhand. One woman was also among those arrested. The police received specific information from intelligence sources about the movements of the gang members. Based on this, four male gangsters were arrested near the Chutu Over Bridge under the BIT Mesra police station limits in Ranchi. The woman was arrested in the Argora police station area of Ranchi. She has been identified as Riya Sinha, wife of Koylanchal Shanti Sena leader Sujeet Sinha. Three pistols, seven magazines, 13 cart ridges, a four-wheeler, six mobile phones and Rs. 10 lakh in cash were seized from the five. Last month, a gunfight took place in the Tupudana police station area of Ranchi. The police arrested several criminals on that occasion. At that time, the Koylanchal Shanti Sena claimed responsibility for the attack. When the Ranchi police investigated the matter, it was revealed that the leader of the Koylanchal Shanti Sena, Sujeet Sinha, had links with gangster Prince Khan, who is currently living in the UAE. The police, who intensified the investigation, arrested Sujeet Sinha’s wife and four of his followers.
