NOB-Amritsar news:  A blast occurred at a fireworks manufacturing plant in Punjab’s Srimuktsar Sahiz district on 30.05.2025 morning. Five workers were killed in the incident. Many were seriously injured.After receiving information about the incident, police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot and took up rescue operations. As part of that, the injured were shifted to the district government hospital. Doctors said that the condition of many of them was critical.DSP Jaspal Singh said that the bodies have been shifted to a government hospital for postmortem. On the other hand, he said that rescue operations are ongoing. The explosion took place in the early hours of 30.05.2025 at this fireworks manufacturing plant near Singhwali-Kotli road.A case has been registered and an investigation is underway into the cause of the explosion. All the deceased in the incident were migrant workers, he said.
