NOB- Mumbai news: A major fire broke out in the Kaiser-e-Hind building, which houses the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office, in the Ballard Estate area of ​​south Mumbai, officials said on 27.04.2025 morning. Efforts are on to douse the fire. However, there were no immediate reports of anyone being injured in the incident. The fire department reached the spot after receiving information about the fire breaking out in the Kaiser-e-Hind building at 02:31 am on 27.04.2025 and took steps to control the fire, they said. The fire was brought under control at around 03:30 am, and it was a major fire, the fire control room said. Officials said the fire was confined to the fourth floor of the five-storey building. According to reports, more than 10 fire engines, jumbo bunkers, a breathing apparatus van and other equipment have been deployed at the scene as firefighting operations are in full swing. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, civic officials said.
