
NOB-Nalgonda news: The Mandal Revenue Inspector of Gurrampode mandal in Nalgonda district has been caught in the ACB net. According to details revealed by the officials, on 02.02.2026 afternoon, at around 1 PM, the said Mandal Revenue Inspector, Mohammed Abdul Hakeem, was caught red handed by ACB officials while accepting a bribe in the MRO office premises in Gurrampode mandal. The officer was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 2,20,000/- to process and forward the victim’s application and related file to the Tahsildar for re-entering the details of the land, survey number 225/6, measuring 1.15 acres, into the online 1-B register (ROR), from which it had been removed. A bribe amount of Rs. 20,000/- was recovered from him. The preliminary investigation revealed that the officer, while holding a responsible position, was performing his duties illegally and unethically, and deriving undue benefit. Therefore, the accused officer was arrested and produced before the Additional Special Judge (SPE and ACB Cases) court in Hyderabad. The case is currently under investigation. Meanwhile, officials stated that the complainant’s name and details have been kept confidential for security reasons. Officials are urging anyone who is asked for a bribe by government officials to contact the ACB toll-free number 1064 and cooperate in taking action according to the law.
