NOB-Hyderabad news: The number of ration card beneficiaries in Telangana has increased to 3.10 crore. Previously, there were 2.83 crore ration beneficiaries. This means that now more than 27 lakh people have become newly eligible.Meanwhile, the total number of ration cards has increased to 91.83 lakh. This means that 2 lakh new cards have been issued. Out of the nearly 20 lakh applications pending during the previous government’s tenure, verification was done and 18 lakh people were made eligible.In the month of June 2025, 18 kg of fine rice for three months will be given to each beneficiary at once. Action has been taken on the applications received through Mee Seva and applications received through Gram Sabhas since February 17th 2025.Under the newly issued 2 lakh cards, 9 lakh new beneficiaries will get ration benefits. With the increase in the number of beneficiaries, more people have received government assistance. Lakhs of people are benefiting by clearing pending applications.The verification process of the remaining applications is still ongoing. Officials say that verification of new applicants will also be conducted and steps will be taken to ensure that they receive ration.
