NOB-Tirupati news: Municipal Corporation Commissioner N. Maurya, IAS, has ordered the representatives of advertising agencies to pay the pending taxes on advertisement boards by the end of March. The Commissioner held a meeting with the officials of the Urban Planning Department and representatives of various organizations on 18.02.2026 evening on the payment of pending bills of advertisement boards and other matters. She explained the procedures regarding the new advertisement tax GO. Speaking on this occasion, the Commissioner said that there are many complaints that advertisement boards are being set up in the city without permission. She said that taxes have not been paid for the boards set up in the past. She warned that if all the taxes are not paid by March 31st 2026, the boards will be removed. She said that it is mandatory to take permission from the Municipal Corporation to set up new boards. Additional Commissioner Sharada Devi, DCP Khan, TPO Madhu, and others participated in this meeting.
