
NOB-Hyderabad news: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25.11.2025 virtually inaugurated Safran’s LEAP Engine MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) Centre at GMR Aero Park near Shamshaba, India’s first dedicated service hub for LEAP aircraft engines. Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and Telangana IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu attended the ceremony and took part in the groundbreaking of Safran’s upcoming M88 military engine MRO facility for Rafale fighter jets, a milestone that will further boost Telangana’s aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem while opening new avenues for local MSMEs and engineering enterprises. Telangana’s aerospace and defence exports have registered remarkable growth, doubling in the 2024 year and reaching 30,742 crore in just nine months, surpassing pharma exports for the first time. The state also recently received the National Aerospace Award for its achievements in the sector. CM Revanth Reddy extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the “Telangana Rising 2047 – Global Summit” scheduled on December 8 and 9 at the upcoming 30,000 acre Bharat Future City. He also urged the Centre to designate the Bengaluru Hyderabad stretch as an official Defence & Aerospace Corridor to accelerate investment, R&D and strategic innovation. Telangana is moving ahead with a strong economic vision, $1 trillion economy by 2035 and $3 trillion by 2047, positioning Hyderabad as one of the world’s foremost Aerospace & MRO destinations.
