
NOB-Chivvenla news: The police arrested four accused in a case related to illegal sale of cement and fake branding under Chivvenla Police Station limits and sent them to remand on 02.08.2025. The accused A-1 Kaveti Raju, along with lorry drivers A-2 Paloju Upendrachari and A-3 SK Babu, conspired and collected cement bags belonging to various companies separately through them. Later, with the intention of running the fake cement business, they entered into an agreement with A-4 Bandi Venkata Ramana (Narkatpally), who supplies fake brand empty bags, and took fake empty bags similar to the original brands like “Ultratech”, “Ramco”, “KCP”, “NCL” from him and filled the original cement collected in them and converted it into the original brand cement. Later, with the intention of defrauding the people, fake brand cement bags were sold to the customers under the name of the original brands. In connection with this fraud, a case was registered at Chivvenla Police Station on the complaint of Madha Prabhakar, who is working as a supervisor in NCL Company. As part of the investigation of the case, the police raided a cement shop on the outskirts of Durajpally village on 01.08.2025 and seized a total of 980 cement bags (with fake brands) filled with such fake brands and 30 empty brand bags & 04 mobile phones. While the seized cement bags were printed with brand names like “Ultratech”, “Ramco”, “KCP”, “NCL”, it was confirmed that they were actually fake bags.
Details of the accused:
1. Kaveti Raju, age: 24, cement shop owner, R/o Narsapuram, Valigonda mandal – Investigation revealed that he was illegally purchasing the company’s cement by renting the shop, packing it in empty bags of fake brands and selling it.
2. Paloju Upendra Chari, age: 45, driver, R/o Imampeta – Admitted that he stopped the company’s tanker halfway instead of taking it to Hyderabad and illegally sold the cement to Kaveti Raju.
3. S.K. Babu, age: 47, driver, R/o Bharathakhat Gudem – Admitted during investigation that he illegally transported the cement through his lorry TG 29 T 1805 and sold it to Kaveti Raju.
4. Bandi Venkata Ramana, Age: 50, Bag Trader, R/o Narkatpally – Admitted to manufacturing empty bags under fake brands Ramco, Ultratech, KCP, NCL and supplying them to Kaveti Raju.
The accused was be produced before the court on 02.08.2025 for remand. Investigation is on to ascertain whether anyone else is involved in this illegal transaction.
