NOB-Suryapet news: On 09-12-2024, on the orders of Town CI Veera Raghavalu, SI M. Yedukondalu along with his staff were checking vehicles near the Yellamma Temple along the road towards Bhimavaram in Suryapet town at noon. At 03:00 o’clock in the afternoon, a person on a bike appeared suspiciously and tried to flee towards Suryapet when he saw the police personnel. The person was caught and questioned and he revealed that he had ganja in his possession. Upon investigation, it was learned that Nidiganti Harikrishna, aged 20, was a tractor driver by profession, and resided in Tallakupahad village, Suryapet mandal, and his hometown was Guntur district. He was friends with Palabindela Siddu @ Peter and Anoj from Suryapet town, and they were also friends with Shiva and Anand from Hyderabad. It was learned that they all used to go to Sileru area near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh state on bikes from time to time, buy ganja from unknown people selling ganja there, take such ganja on their motorcycles, come to Suryapet town, take some ganja to Shiva and Anand from Hyderabad and some ganja to Harikrishna, Palabindala Siddu and Anoj from Suryapet. Shiva and Anand used to take some ganja together to Hyderabad and smoke it and sell the rest of it in Hyderabad. Similarly, Harikrishna, Palabindi Sidhu @ Peter and Anoj used to smoke ganja together and sell the rest of it in the bus area and railway station area in Suryapet, Khammam and Nalgonda areas and earn more money. As usual, on the morning of 04.12.2024, Shiva and Anand from Hyderabad came to Suryapet on their motorcycle. Along with them, Harikrishna, Sidhu and Anoj left Suryapet town on their motorcycles and went to Sileru area near Rajahmundry. There, they bought 10 kg of ganja at the rate of Rs. 2500/- per kg from unknown people selling ganja and loaded such ganja packets on their motorcycles. The accused stated that they left from there at night and reached Suryapet on 08.12.2024. Shiva and Anand took 04 kg of ganja and went to Hyderabad. Out of the remaining ganja, they gave 1.5 kg of ganja to Harikrishna and the remaining 4 ½ kg of ganja was taken by Palabindala Siddhu and Anoj and they each went to their respective homes. Later, Harikrishna, who intend to sell the 1.5 kg of ganja in his possession in a blue cover, took it to Khammam and sold it there, at 02:30 in the afternoon, he put the 1 ½ kg ganja cover in the tank cover of his bike on his bike and left his house. When he saw the police, he tried to escape. They caught him and beat him up, took out a blue cover from the tank cover of his bike and seized the ganja. The DSP said that everyone involved in this case will be arrested. DSP Ravi congratulated SI Yedukondalu, staff Karnakar, Shiva and Ravi for their work.
