NOB- Secundrabad news: Srinivas Rao, who is working as a Circle Inspector in the Intelligence Department of the Railway Protection Force in Secunderabad Division, has been selected for the Indian Police Medal. Srinivas Rao has been selected from the Secunderabad zone for this prestigious award, which is given at the national level. Srinivas Rao, who is currently working as an Inspector of the Special Intelligence Branch, has displayed excellent skills in intelligence gathering across the Secunderabad division and has effectively prevented major problems. Notably, in 2010, he cracked two important theft cases. He arrested key political leaders in Kadapa and saved railway assets worth Rs. 3 lakhs. As the Detective Wing Head of Vijayawada and Guntur, he successfully cracked a train theft case worth Rs. 1 crore. In 2021, he registered a case against 100 people in the case of illegal ticket booking and seized 5-value railway tickets. He received praise from the Railways and State Governments for his strategic security plans for crowd management during the Godavari & Krishna river pushkaras. He has effectively performed his duties in preventing crimes and ensuring passenger safety. He rescued nearly 1000 runaway children, organized several awareness campaigns on the safety of women passengers and protection of children and women and created awareness among the people. Due to his technical expertise, he has cleverly cracked 75 cases of theft of passenger belongings and three drug cases and recovered assets worth Rs. 1 crore. He played a key role in the committees set up for the rapid recruitment of constables and allied staff. He has been praised by many officers for his dedication and professionalism towards his profession.
