
NOB-Warangal news: Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh stated that the primary responsibility of auto drivers is to safely transport passengers to their destinations. He emphasized that within the jurisdiction of the Warangal Commissionerate, the utmost priority is being accorded to public safety, alongside the prevention of road accidents. As part of the measures ambitiously undertaken by the State Government to prevent road accidents, the Commissioner announced that the “Arrive Alive” campaign is being conducted from 25.03.2026 until the 31.03.2026. As part of this initiative, an awareness program for auto drivers was organized on 25.03.2026 at the Kazipet Railway Auditorium, under the aegis of the Warangal Traffic Police. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner urged auto drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and to take measures to prevent accidents caused by speeding or negligent driving. He advised them to operate their vehicles with the safety of their passenger’s lives in mind and strictly cautioned against carrying passengers beyond the vehicle’s permissible capacity. Furthermore, he warned that actions such as using mobile phones while driving or driving under the influence of alcohol inevitably lead to accidents. He noted that road accidents could be significantly reduced if every driver diligently followed traffic rules. During this awareness program, Traffic Police officials provided auto drivers with crucial guidelines regarding road safety. Awareness was raised regarding the observance of traffic signals, exercising caution at zebra crossings, and the importance of using helmets and seat belts. Participating in this program, the auto drivers acknowledged their responsibility towards road safety and took an oath to strictly adhere to traffic regulations. The event was attended by Central Zone DCP Dara Kavitha, Additional DCP (Traffic) Prabhakar Rao, Traffic ACPs (Kazipet) Satyanarayana and Prashanth Reddy, Traffic Inspectors Venkanna, Seetha Reddy, and Sujatha, along with Kazipet Inspector Sudhakar Reddy and other police personnel.
