NOB_Kamareddy: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava inspected the Kamareddy Railway Station on Tuesday.

The General Manager arrived at the station by a special inspection train and was accorded a warm welcome by railway officials and staff.

During the field inspection, the GM reviewed the ongoing developmental works in the station and its jurisdiction. He laid special emphasis on the progress of the Kavach the indigenous Automatic Train Protection System being implemented to ensure safer and more secure train operations. He instructed officials to use advanced technology and further strengthen safety standards.

He also reviewed the redevelopment works being undertaken at Kamareddy Railway Station at a cost of Rs 39.9 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). He discussed with officials the provision of improved passenger amenities including modern waiting halls, platform modernization, lifts, escalators and parking facilities. He directed that infrastructure should be developed as per requirements while maintaining quality standards.

The GM stated that strengthening railway infrastructure in the Kamareddy region and ensuring passenger safety and convenience should be given top priority.

Station Manager, Railway Police and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
