NOB-Hyderabad news: The Special Crime Team, CCS, Detective Department, Hyderabad, along with Hussainialam Police, apprehended one person on 31-12-2025 for illegal possession of a country made pistol, based on credible information. The accused, Amjad Khan (29), a resident of Hussainialam, was found in possession of a 0.7 mm country made pistol and a mobile phone. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had allegedly procured the weapon around 10 months ago through intermediaries from Madhya Pradesh for Rs.80,000 and kept it to threaten the general public. Two other accused involved in supplying the weapon are absconding, and efforts are on to apprehend them. The operation was carried out by D. Bikshapathi, Inspector of Police, Special Crime Team, under the supervision of G. Venkateswar Reddy, ACP, SCT, CCS Hyderabad, along with Hussainialam Police. Persons in illegal possession of arms are advised to voluntarily deposit weapons at the nearest police station. Hyderabad City Police are maintaining strict surveillance against anti-social elements.
