
A strike was organized in front of Manthani RDO office to give right documents to dry lands by the tribals of Venkatapur village of Manthani mandal. In support of this strike, the district secretary of the Agricultural Labor Union B. Ganesh said that the tribal sons of swarnapalli village have been making a living by cultivating 209 acres of land with survey no 86. They are making a living by cultivating Podu lands from nearly 40 years. More than a lakh people are making a living by this traditional way of cultivation of land. He said that the forest officials claiming that this land belongs to government and made trenches on this land and threatened the tribals by making illegal cases and sending them to jail. In the past, the Revenue officials said that there was no waste land in the village and every part is been cultivated with pulses, cereals and useful food products . It is requested that the revenue officials should respond and should survey the land and give them the right documents. SFI District Vice President Arla Sandeep supported this program. Leaders Satyam, Prabhakar, Lakshmi, Errakka, Mallakka, Revathi, Mekala Lakshmi and Devakka participated.
